BIOCHAR
Our biochar reactor turns chicken waste into safe fertilizer. Carbon-rich, it has much slower rates of decomposition than other organic amendments, increases water retention in soil, and corrects soil acidity.
WATER
Villa Rose has a permitted independent water well. Wastewater is reused for irrigation, so there is zero runoff.
FOOTPRINT
Currently 75-80% of food in Hawaii is imported from the mainland. Villa Rose will produce and distribute locally, reducing the amount of resources depleted by shipping eggs from the mainland.
